The Bleeding Tree
An animation exploring folklore, grief, and transformation.
Rooted in Irish mythology and personal memory, The Bleeding Tree is a poetic animation that weaves together folklore, ancestral landscape, and lived experience. At its heart is the ancient symbol of the bleeding tree; an image of emotional rupture and quiet resilience. The animation features sculptural imagery of hair—knotted, coiled, and cascading—used as a metaphor for grief: how it clings to the body, tangles through time, and ultimately shifts form. The use of hair is inspired by a tale my grandmother told me, that when we die, we must collect all the hair we have lost throughout our lifetime before we can move on.
Memory Box
An animation exploring love, loss and memory.
In this poetic mixed-media animation, fleeting memories flicker to life inside a weathered box; fragments of moments, objects, and feelings stitched together in charcoal, collage, and sound.
Memory Box is a quiet reflection on loss, nostalgia, and the tender act of holding on. This animation is a mixture of real-life footage, paintings and digital animation.
A flick of hair, a splash of sea
A visual meditation on transformation, freedom, and fluidity.
In this short hand-drawn charcoal animation, a woman flicks her hair — and in a moment of quiet magic, it transforms into flowing water. A lone fish glides across the screen, blurring the line between human and nature, movement and stillness.
